One of the first things you’ll notice about CCP is the informality of our worship service, with lay and clergy participating together. Our focus is less on “dressing up” and more on being who we really are as God’s people. We value participation, spontaneity, flexibility, honesty, and openness to the movement of God’s Spirit among us. Yet our style of worship and being-in-community is very much within the Reformed tradition of Christianity. We come together to explore the Word of God, sing our praises, express our prayers with tears and laughter, and share the Lord’s Supper — every Sunday.
The Lord’s Table is the central place for us. Toward the end of the service, we share our Prayers of Joys and Concerns, and gather around the Lord’s Table to partake of Holy Communion. There’s room for you in the Circle!
Regular worship is at 4:00 pm each Sunday. The length of the service varies depending upon what’s planned for the afternoon and the extent of expressed joys and concerns.
